DAK has been in operation for about 15 years now and we have only had one previous "Rainy Day". On that occasion we simply waited out the squalls and continued on. Last Saturday was actually a record rain day for Phoenix (yearly amount) and our field was seriously under water. Fortunately our club host also operated an indoor electric drag strip/ rock crawler/ drift racing storefront inside the old Metrocenter mall. So a full fun day was had by all on a improvised battlefield that even featured some ad hoc buildings crafted from the used Pizza boxes we had delivered! Also we couldn't help try our luck at drift racing and rock crawling.
