1/3 Scale GEE BEE Z
Scratch Built
1/3 Scale GEE BEE Z
From Wendell Hostetler Plans
Hostetler Model Specifications:
93" Wing Span
59.73" Length
1430 sq.in. Area
4-6 cu.in. Rec. Eng.
26-28 lbs.
Model Includes:
Cowl, Spats-Wheel Pants, Canopy - Fibertech-N-More
Plans Set - Hostetler
Landing Gear - Sierra Giant Scale
Wood - National Balsa
Pilot - Warbird Pilots
Decal Set - Cajun R/C
1/3 Scale Dummy Radial - Frank Tiano
Model began to be built as per indicated on Hostetler plans (stand-off scale) but then I decided to try an duplicate the "scale" appearance as much as possible. Lowered the fuse hatch line and canopy/cockpit shroud. Utilized top hatch opening for easy radio access. Also fully sheeted the wing panels and added scale rib placement simulation as well as Horizontal Stab/Elevator and Vertical Fin/Rudder. Wing servo bays and connecting system inside the wing panels to hide aileron connecting rods. Frame has not been covered or forward fuselage area fiber glassed at this point. I have many additional pictures of the building process. Cowl is mounted using hidden anchors to maintain scale appearance.
$1500.00
Would rather not ship but if buyer pays all associated shipping cost and insurance coverage will discuss options
