Default Fancy sharing pics of your Jet storage racks/ trollys?

I need to make a portable storage rack to store my jets one on top of another. Something either out of wood or metal and with wheels that I can easily move about the workshop.

I know some have done this but I can’t find any pics.

You would have to put it on a board with wheels or find caster that fit the feet but I use the ELFA system. Like 22.5" shelf brackets. You can even put brackets on both sides and have more if you want, just need the bottom feet set for the other side.

Google Robotunits
Aluminum extrusions from Germany with world class fasteners
Infinite adjustability and versatility
Nothing else comes close

Some pictures
You can do a pull up once assembled
The only tool necessary is a ball end hex driver
Slide into position and tighten.

These are some great storage ideas. The toughest part for me when deciding on storage is how it’ll handle earthquakes, unfortunately.

Ltc,
Can I ask what you call your racking or where you bought it from?

The aluminum extrusions are from Robotunits
https://www.robotunits.com/en-us/pro...ng-technology/

They can be purchased in standard lengths and cut yourself or ordered to exact cut lengths if you soecify

You design it yourself and assembly is simply a sliding T nut secured by a single socket hex head bolt
Infinitely adjustable and scalable
Very lightweight and strong

You just sketch out what you like order the aluminum and bolt it together.

I can post some part numbers that I used to help

This is what I came up with when I bought my new trailer. Racks are made out of 2 x 2 x 1/8 steel angle. There are 4 blocks attached to the wall that lock the racks into position and a heavy ratchet strap holds them to the wall. There are holes drilled in the uprights so I can change the shelf height as needed when the inventory changes. When its time to work on one of the planes I just roll the rack into the garage. Since my trailer is long enough if I'm out at the field and the weather gets nasty or I just want to pick up for the night at a fly in all my planes except for the Viperjet (WS wider than trailer) can be put in the racks with the wings on and both racks can be rolled into the trailer end to end.
