Default Wren mw54 eco r Fadec pump not working.

Turbine lovers!

I have a old kj66 with Wren mw54 eco r fadec unit.
Manual gas start ecu all by hand unit number MA-397
I would love to get the old machine back to running i put a 4cell battery everything starting up except the fuel pump.
The pump is only making al little buzz but is not turning.

What i already tried:
-different battery's connected.
-measured pump voltage from ecu unit its 5v
-put the pump directly on 3v its running good
-changend parameters in the ecu unit but the pump is still only buzzing

Does somebody had this same problem? i think its something in the driver circuit of the pump in the ecu unit.

Maybe somebody have the manual of this ecu?

The pump may be gummed up with old fuel/ oil.

Put a battery directly onto the pump and try to get it to run.

If it runs, circulate some fuel through the pump running directly on the battery for a few minutes.

Edit - Sorry - I just re-read and saw that you have already run the pump directly - sorry - apart from circulating some more fuel through the pump I have no ideas.

What Paul said, run more fuel through the pump, like a lot, get it completely loose, I had the same thing happen on an unused pump some time ago.

If your KJ 66 is manually started (air or separate electric) and not by the ECU, then the ecu must see a temperture rise, and rpm of a certain value
before it lets the pump run. Check the thermocouple (temperture) and rpm with your data terminal by spinning the compressor and manually heating
the thermocouple.

If the pump is buzzing then you must be trying to start the engine so the ecu is seeing heat and rpm right? If so then you need to move the pump start ramp parameter up until the pump just starts to turn. Usually “Auto + 1 or 2 is does the trick. If you don’t ser “Auto” and just numbers then you may have to scroll through what is the manual setting until the auto pops up.

an easy way to set this is to reduce the “minimum start temp” to below ambient and spin the rotor. The pump will them try and turn. Adjust the pump until it just starts to turn and deliver fuel.

As others commented, when is the pump buzzing? while starting?
btw. this ECU should have the fuel prime function: when you switch on your receiver/ECU and immediately go with the throttle stick from min to max (trim up/idle) the ECU start the pump to prime the fuel system.
On the data terminal you should see the PWM go to 256 or so for few second and he pump MUST run.
