Jet Engine
I would like to purchase a Kingtech jet engine. On the website I checked there listed as back order in one location and another location has would take 2 weeks to process. Anyone have experience with this. I'm ok with 2 weeks. Just wouldn't want it to be a 6 month wait.

Thanks for your answer. I did call . The person I talk with had a foreign accent and I could not understand much of what they were saying and by what they were saying to me they were not understanding what I was saying. So it end with not much useful information.

Got started on the assembly today. So far so good.
Horizontal half.
Wing half.
Light covers for wing tips
Vertical fin.
Servo mount for the vertical fin didn't look good so had to disassemble and redo..

Heck yeah, I'm working on building the same plane! Though I'm moving a lot slower...
Currently waiting on an resign 3D printer to add some cockpit controls.
That thing is going to be a rocket with a K100. You might want to keep an extra close eye on the fuel usage your first flight. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but with the stock 2L won't be much for the K100. You will only be getting about 4-5 minute flight times, me thinks.
Currently waiting on an resign 3D printer to add some cockpit controls.

I'm new to jets myself and in the process of building the Hawk as well.
The 100 doesn't use THAT much more fuel than the 85 per minute, but again, not much room for error with a jet and running out of fuel. I suggest you run your jet on a test stand and watch the fuel consumption yourself. It might make you change your mind. Jets really suck down fuel at an almost alarming rate. My K85 on the test stand sucked up 12 oz of fuel in 160 seconds...
Just err on the side of caution your first couple flights and see where you are at...
2L = 67.6 oz
At 12 oz / 120 sec, I figure 11 minutes of fuel. But without risking running out of fuel, I expect to be at 7 minute flight maximum with the K85.

Well that's awesome!! My very basic physics intuition tells me that's a probably a pretty hefty scale of diminishing returns, but the theory of it certainly makes sense. With that said, you're also assuming people will fly at a lower throttle setting instead of just going faster... I'd be curious to see the exact math of such concept and where the variables intercept on a graph.
