Looking for repairable non flyer for display.
Looking for an unflyable composite jet that can be repaired and/or cleaned up enough to look decent at a distance. This will be permanently mounted on a pole at the entrance to our flying field. The one that we have now is getting pretty rough and there is not much left to try to save. 20 or so years of Wisconsin weather has taken its toll.
Preferably close enough to Milwaukee WI for us to pick up.
Our current model has lost all control surfaces and the canopy and all of its internal wood has rotted away. It literally disintegrated while getting it down off of the post to try to fix it up.

TCRC (Twin City Radio Control) here in Minneapolis is having its annual, historically HUGE, auction on Sat. Can't say what will show up, nor what any item will go for. But historically planes that need TLC and have no gear inside, sell at prices that are fantastic for buyers, and depressing for sellers.
Not too far a drive from Milwaukee. See this thread (it is a multi-year, so go to the last page or so and you'll see the flyer for this year): https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/eve...minnesota.html
The only bad part, (besides tending to buy too many great deals) - if you have your eye on a specific model after viewing the staging areas, there is no predicting when it will come up for sale. Can get to be a long day waiting.
They discourage it, but there can be quite the active market very, very early in the morning as guys try to scoop up things being unloaded from cars in the parking lot.
