Default Question about KV

What does it mean when the ad for a ducted fan motor says its 2452-2100 KV. Also with reverse.

Rpm per volt input.

It's a theoretical rating and doesn't take into account some things like load but a higher KV motor spins faster with a higher input voltage.

So take your battery voltage and multiply it by the KV and you get the max RPM.

The first four digits are size so it’s a small motor, 24mm dia and 52mm long in runner. For something like a 64mm EDF unit
