NIB Hangar 9 .60 Sized P-51 Mustang ARF, New with a few changes
NIB Hangar 9 .60 Sized P-51 Mustang ARF.
Changes Made:
1) The yellow covering on the tail, horizontal and vertical stabilizers has been removed and recovered with Aluminum Colored Ultracote, to match plane.
2) The two servo mounts (for elevator and rudder) in the tail have been closed off with balsa. The elevator and rudder servos will be installed inside the plane where they belong, for a more scale look.
3) The bottom of the fuselage, just behind the scoop, has been opened up to install the Robart Tailwheel Retract (included) in the scale position (a wooden Tail Wheel Retract mount will need to be made). The opening is currently covered with Ultracote.
Extra Accessories Added:
1) A Second New Factory Cowl
2) New Robart 3-1/2" Scale Military Wheels
3) New Robart .60 Sized Mechanical Tailwheel Retract (no package)
4) Pilot Figure
5) Remainder of Aluminum Ultracote Roll
I have owned three of these over the years and they have been the easiest handling P-51 Mustang I have ever flown.
Moving up to larger scale planes.
