Default Fuel connections to inverted OS52fs

Hi folks, I’m building a small racing plane with OS 52fs inverted inside the cowl and I have made fuel tank with 3 tubes coming out. One for carby, one as vent for muffler and one for fueling. Now, I’m just wondering if my carby won’t get flooded while fueling. Has anyone have done it this way? I know I could purchase fueling valve, which blocks carby when fueling hose is inserted but I thought I keep it simple. Any thoughts?

Good question.

I recall this issue happening a long time ago, and it seems that a common solution was to pinch the carburetor line with hemostats or pliers, while fueling. Or having a buddy pinch the line with fingers as you do the fueling.

I tend to avoid fueling valves, as they are always a potential source of a problem. In other words, I don't trust any of them, long term.

Thanks for a quick reply😉. That’s what I thought too. It’s been a while since I played with glow engines. I’ll stick with pinching the tubing.
