Default replacing to a Futaba T6J problems

I don't know much about RC transmitters or receivers.

I'm replacing a futaba FM RX an TX in a airplane. The old radio works but I want to use the new Futaba T6j 2.4, when I put the the new receiver in the throttle and rudder are reversed. How come they are not the same?

The transmitter has a reversing mode but I don't know if there are modes to save airplanes on this thing or if you have to reverse every time I want to use it. I have plans to put another receiver in another airplane to use one transmitter for multiple airplanes.

You will be OK. The t6j can store fifteen different models. The reversing function is there for just that purpose. To reverse channels when needed.

Thanks for the reply. When you store a model and change the batteries do you lose the stored model?
