Default slipstream 30cc Chipmunk climbing

This plane is taking alot of elevator trim to keep from climbing. It's balanced a little nose heavy. I have a a couple of washers for down thrust on the top
mounts. Ant thoughts?

Relative to the stock thrust line you should probably be looking at a 2 degree angle of attack on the wing and 1 degree on the horizontal stabilizer. This is based on the Nelitz plans of a known good flying airplane.

To even begin to diagnose this you would need to know the incidence of the wing and stab along with the airfoil used. Nose heavy will usually end up with a model that will trim out at half power but climb at full power and dive on approach.
