Repair help needed
I recently purchased a Richardson Tug Boat by Hobby Engine. Unfortunately, it has a defective receiver. Because this item is discontinued there is no official support for it. I can always return the item and have refund, so that’s not a problem. The problem is there is very few ready-to-run tugboats available and that’s why I would very much like to keep it. However, I have no capabilities what so ever of fixing it myself.
So, I’m now wondering
1) Is it possible to get Richardson into running order?
2) Would somebody be willing to do the repair for me? Naturally, I would pay the person performing the work the appropriate compensation.
I tried to attach a jpg picture of the Richardson, but I was not allowed to use urls (sic).

If it's just a bad receiver, it shouldn't be too hard to replace the electronics. The bigger question is did the manufacturer use standard parts or an integrated receiver and speed controller?
I was just doing a bit of research online and found your boat is made by Pro Boat, a subsidiary of Horizon Hobby. This makes things easy. Since they have a customer service department, give them a call and see what they can do to help you out. Their number is 1-800-338-4639
