Default FS paint resourse help needed

I need help getting a chip sample of FS 15044 Blue and FS 17875 white.
These are the standard Tweet Trainer colors.
I can get the paint mixed if I can get some accurate samples.
Thanks in advance,
Ray

Hi Ray,

Call Frank Tiano,

He has a color chip book with those numbers. The color chips are not printed, but actual paint, and the book is a "must have" for scale modelers.

You can also order it online at www.franktiano.com

Best,

John C

Hey John,
thanks for the tip....but I already have that book. The two colors mentioned are not in the book he sells. Seems odd to me as the T-37 is not an exotic aircraft at all. Friggin loud as all get out, but not exotic.

Ray,

Give Frank a call anyway, he may have the chips you are looking for.

John,
thanks again, dropped him a line, and will call tomorrow.
In the mean time, if anyone out there has a lead for me, I would truly appreciate it.

I just did a google search on both those numbers turned up a boatload of hobby shops

Buy the paint, spray some onto a white piece of styrene from the hobby shop and take it to have it matched

John and Matt,
good leads Gents,
Matt, as much as I search for things online, it didnt even dawn on me to just plug in the paint fs numbers and color and see what I got, duhhh.
As a result, I have found out that 17875 is just Insignia white, I happen to have that on hand.

Now to find a hobby store that has the FS 15044 Blue in stock, and I am set.
Matt, what hobby store/s did you get on your search that had it?

Again big thanks!
Ray

Ray,

Try the Testors Model Master Paints often you will find the FS number you are looking for there.

Dave,

we must have been typing at the same time. I was doing just that. Testor/Model Masters has them all, save the blue I am looking for,
Ray
