Any info for covering on which to use and what techniques
hey im about to recover a plane what should i use ultra-coat or mono-coat. which one? and what can i do to make sure that its tight and no wrinkles. any tips would be awesome.

I'm guessing that you haven't had replies because answering your question could take pages, and a LOT has been written about covering.
RCU has a GREAT "SEARCH" engine. Go to the top of the page, click on "Search", then plug in "Covering" and see what you get. (I'm guessing you'll get about three days worth of reading!)

i like monokote, and to get it tight tack al around the outside then hit with heat gun... for some reason, i still cover better withough heatgun... is this normal?? i can do a perfect covering )no wrinkles) with just an iron but if i use the heatgun its messes it all up...

i prefer ultracoat. i can never seem to get my monocoat to flatten with the heat gun. i had to cover my gentle lady wing with half mono and half ultra. the mono side looks shiny and the ultra was dull looking. the ultra was definatly easier for me to cover with though. just my opinion.

It's all personal preference. And it take pracvtice to get a great looking job!
as stated, many, many volumes of info have been writte, both here, and in books, on the subject.
I prefer Ultracoat to Monokote as it isn't as thick, and the colours don't beeld as much when you iron down edges. Also, less 'off gassing'
