And here all this time I thought they were cheesecloth soaked in varnish. Anyway...the most efficient way to produce tack rags, is to buy them at the hardware. No mess, no stress. Regards.

Hmm... I don't like tac cloths. I don't know this for a fact, but it would not surprise me to find out they leave wax behind. THe worst thing is that they only remove surface dust. A shop vac with a brush attachment works a lot better.
If you're stuck using tac rags though, then I second just buying them from the hardware store. They're only about a buck a piece.
