Default Glow Plug Problems?

My GX .21 stalls when I remove the glow starter. I've tried three different glow plugs with no effect. It runs great if I attach a four AA's to the glow plug. What could be the cause.

I agree the engine is to rich, lean it out a bit and this problem should go away.

Thanks guys. It was running to rich on top and bottom. I don't know how I got it that far out of adjustment but it was way off on top. Now I'm off to the track and test my suspension upgrades!
