RE: Sledge Mods
the only one I know is to get the counter balanced tail plan, if your's doesn't have it. Some guys are putting on thicker leading edge stock so they can better sand a rounder LE.

RE: Sledge Mods
rhd, send me a private email at [email protected] and I will help you with the 3 mods. They are simple and have not been implemented into the kit yet because of a printing problem and my digital camera problem. Jeff Williams, sledge designer.

RE: Sledge Mods
I used the airbalanced tail that Jeff designed.
Then I added an inch to the elevator and rudder by accident. That darn exacto saw just can't cut things the way the plans show. I gotta get rid of that thing.
I also put my elevator servo half way back on the fuselage, as I suck at pull-pull set up and can't get full throw with the cables. I use a 4-40 pushrod and get 65+ degrees up and down. It probably does 2 to 3 waterfalls per second if I use full throw and full power. KE spins with power are too fast to count.
It also does a sideways blender. I fly horizontal at full power, and go through the motions of a blender. It scares most people around when it gets wound up. I have to say that the plane is a superior design, not to lose parts on that one.
If I were to build another, I'd probably say that the added tail surface isn't really necessary, but the airbalanced tail is.
Also, the aluminum gear is a bit soft. Get the carbon gear from Jeff. I also forgot to do that, and if I do another, it will be a must have.
