Default Metric taps & dies

Where can you get small metric taps and dies without surrendering an arm and a leg plus your first born child? There are plenty of metrics on Ebay but they are all intended for use on full scale automobiles, etc.. Doesn't anyone in the US care about modelers?

Do a Google search for ENCO Tool and get a catalog. You can order online today, too, but the catalog is full of useful, professional quality tools at reasonable prices.

You can also do a search on Maryland Metrics, they have very good prices and carry a lot of odd stuff that we use in the hobby.

You might find only a couple sizes are needed for control rods and stuff. They are readily available at well stocked hardware stores.

The Enco stuff is industrial quality and unless you break it (those small taps are kinda brittle), they'll last a lifetime with a little care. And if you're getting several pieces, it'll be cheaper than any hardware store...

Thanks all. I guess I just haven't found the right places to look unil now. I'm sort of a tool junkie and like to be able to reach for the proper one every time. Thanks again.
