Default Sig 1/4 scale cub

I was wondering if someone could suggest an engine choice for the Sig 1/4 scale Cub. (Clipped wing). Would an OS or similar .1.60 twin four stroke be enough pep for aerobatics or maybe a G26?

The OS 1.60 twin is an excelent choice for this airplane. I seen several of these airplanes fly with this engine and it seems to be a perfect set up. I have one of these airplanes in the works and it will have one of the OS twins. This will not provide unlimited vertical and 3d aerobatics, but I don't think a cub should be flown like that anyway.

Skip,

I built a full-wing Sig 1/4 Cub years ago and installed an O.S. 1.08 that I had from another plane. With the 1.08, the Cub was waaay over powered....took off and flew most of the time at about 1/3 throttle. The 1.60 should be plenty, not to mention look awesome. My finiancial situation at the time didnt allow me to get one of those...Im jealous

A buddy of mine has a G38 in his. Sounds very realistic at 1/4 throttle on a low pass.

I have the 1/4 scale sig cub .. with the os 160 twin. plenty of power for aerobatics that are "appropriate" (e.g. easily loops from level flight, but would not hover!) .. the sound is fantastic and the idle is very very slow.

I have two of these engines, the other one is on an old H9 Cap which I never fly anymore, so if you might have an interest in acquiring this one, let me know via PM ... I have two german mufflers on it (bought them in Switzerland, forget the name) .. and it's really quiet!
