2.6 comp arf spinner
Should I use a 4.5 or 5" spinner for the comp arf extra? I just ordered the fantasy red scheme, but need which spinner looks best. Any pictures of either setup?

Pic of mine with a Dave Brown standard 5" spinner. The 4.5 didn't line up well so I sold it. The plane actually looks pretty good without a spinner too. In my opinion the carbon bullet shaped spinners are ugly. I also don't like the look of the longer "Ultimate" spinner on Extras.

Ok, I dont really care for the carbon spinners, so will probably go with a 5" paragon with the special backplate for the 3w to make it not stick out so much. Did you use aluminum arms on your servos or the ones that came with the kit? what clevisis did you use?

I used H9 aluminum arms for the elevators and ailerons. For the rudder pull-pull I used the stock setup, bolting the phenolic arms to the H9 arms attached to the servos. I replaced the supplied arms with 4-40 rods with ball links on the servo side and clevises on the control horn side. If my arms weren't already drilled 4-40 then I would have used the supplied clevises and pushrods.

what size aluminum arms did you use on the ailerons and elevators? I am going to use swb arms, but needed to know the lenght. I think I will use a ball link on the servo arm, titanium prolinks, and the hd dubro clevis with the saftey keep. do those clevis's have any slop in the holes on the horns? I will probaby use a swb tray for the rudder and 2 5945 servos.

I used 1.25" on the elevators and 1" on the ailerons because that is what I had. No slop in the stock control horns but the Dubros are very nice.

Thanks for the info, do you think 1.25 on the ailerons would be enough? I have a bunch of 1.25s sitting here I can use. Do you get enough throw for 3D, how much do you get on the elevator? Where do you have the batteries for balance? My 3W is about the same weight as the DA. I plan on using that new rc blimp carbon tailwheel, its only 2.3 oz and stressed for 40lbs. WIll probably use 4.5 skylite main wheels

I have two 1800 nicads on the rudder servo tray just behind the wing spar. If I had 1.25" arms for the ailerons then I would use them. I wouldn't mind having a little more throw for 3D but as it is I can do rolling harriers. I had to drill new holes on the elevator control horns to get enough throw for 3D, but if you use the stock servo arms then you wouldn't have to do it. The stock arms are something like 1.6" or more.

Thanks for all the info, I appreciate it, hope it turns out to be a good one. What do you fly full size? I fly B-52s and have a full scale edge.
