Default How long to Boil to Un-Mount tires?

I picked up some De Bonder today and it didn't work as well as I would have hoped. So I understand that Boiling is the next best way. Well I have a Crockpot set up and I am not sure how long it normally takes to break down the CA. Does boiling usually do anything to Chrome plated wheels?

Just boil them untill you see the glue start to crystalize but don't ruin them!!!!

You gotta watch how hot you get them, I ruined a set of T C wheels by boiling .They sat on the bottom of the pan and distorted. Suppose if you could suspend them in mid-water, so to speak, so they wouldn't sit on the bottom and get hot spots?

Get the water to a boil first then put the wheel in for 4 min. then the tires should come right off>

even better than boiling...

heat your oven to 350 then TURN THE OVEN OFF!!!! then place your tires on a cookie sheet and let them sit in the oven for 10 mins. when you take them off the tires will come off alot easier than if you boiled them.

yea but you have to watch out cause they melt easy in the oven so watch your tires at all times.

Thanks for the input. I had the Crockpot on Hi heat for about 4 hours and then let it sit for 1 more hour before I took the wheels out. It worked. All of the wheels just pulled right off , one however gave a little trouble but it came off with a little work.

The downside to this was that the chrome plating on the wheels are ruined. They are discolored, Gunmetal Grey looks good to!!
