Hi all, i am attempting to rebiuld my ae.15 but i can't get the guts out. I got the flywheel, head, and backplate off. I have the conrod at the top of the cycle and i pull and pull.Then used needle nosers.It won't come out! TELL ME HOW TO DO IT PLS!

Hehe, slide the sleeve out from around the piston. This will allow the piston to move over far enough to clear the crank pin.

once you get the rod at the top of the cycle the sleeve should pop up a little then you can take a screwdriver and bring it out

If you can't get the sleeve to come out easily, try a LITTLE heat. If you have a heat gun, that's the easiest, and most controllable way. Or, if you're very careful, a propane torch can be used to gently warm the case around the fins to expand it, and loosen any gum/varnish that might be causing it to stick. Don't get it too hot though, or let the heat stay in any one spot too long, or you might distort the case. I wear a leather gardening glove, and push the sleeve up w/ the handle of an old tooth brush, or something non-metallic. You might want to wear a glove on the pushing hand too, in case your pushing tool slips, so you don't "get" your knuckles! You only need to warm it, so you can stick it in the oven (while the female of the house ain't lookin') if that's all you have.

take a zip-tie.... Insert it into the exhaust port.... Roate crankshaft..... Piston should come out just a little bit.... remove zip-tie..... Take screwdriver and pry sleeve out..... Then rotate crank till piston is at top..... remove con-rod from crank.... pull piston out.... pust crank out .....

ALL DONE!
