Default SWB Mamba

The SWB Mamba is rarely, if ever mentioned, on this site. Can anyone relate their experiences with this engine ?

I've seen the SWB Mamba at various jet flys starting at Flordia jets 2003 where Bob Violet was flying it in his P80
I have also seen it at heart of ohio and at the last Superman flyin where it was flown in several types of aircraft, the most impressive
was a BVM Bobcat XL the (larger of the two bobcats) it was staying right in there with the larger turbines in the 20 lb class (very impressed) also what I learned was that the fuel consuption is only 6.76 oz/min @100% .

Good luck and Merry Christmas

David,
I think the biggest reason the SWB Mamba has been ignored is because they tried to market it as an airstart engine at the same pricing as the autostarts. Now that they have made the Mamba full auto at a reasonable price, I think we'll see more of them around....

Thanks for that. I was very impressed by its quality when I saw it at FJ 20012 but it just seems to have faded from the scene. Hope it does well now its in AES,
