Saito 300 vs. OS 300
I am planning to buy either the Saito 300 twin or the OS 300 twin. Which one is more reliable ? How do they compare in power and performance ? If you choose Saito, which of the two (single or dual carbs w. pump.) would you recommend ? Oh yeah, engine will be probably going on a Byron Christen Eagle.
Thanks

Saito 300
I have been flying a Saito 300 with the single carb for about 2 years now. It is the best kept secret in the hobby. I have found it does not need the pump system but does need on board glow. I use the McDaniel system. One of my favorite engines. For real performance, use 30% heli fuel. A real fuel guzzler, costs about $3.00 per flight, but well worth it.
