Hi guys just ran into a NON-CONTACT Infrared Thermeter at Radio Shack its cool Large LCD showa In F or C. 0 to 400F Its on sale for $29you need to buy the battery. It works great for checking your Iron or see what the temp is inside your cowl is . it has a built in belt clip so you can add it to all the other stuff we hang on owr belts ie phone, pager, glow plug starter, leather man, flash light etc.The Radio Shack # is 23-325
