Default DH-88 GROSVENOR HOUSE

DH-88 GROSVENOR HOUSE.
Hi guy's have been working on this for some time. It will have a 11' wing. I had odered the kit from Richard Crapp in England. I am looking for any CG info or throws. This is a pic of me and Bill Turner after completion of the one he was hired to build. He took off his shoes and walked out to the wing tip. I could not believe it. It did not even budge. And he is 6'5". I will try to get som pic's and post them as I go.

If you come up short on the CG and throw info for the actual Grosvenor House aircraft, you can look at the Mosquito for general guidance since the Grosvenor House was a precursor to the Mossie...my Mossie flies well balanced at 20% back from the wing radiators

I think I would talk to Richard. After all, doesn't the kit list these items?

just my .02,

Hi John:
I have had this kit for some time and I have not been in touch. When I ordered it from England he told me it was a builders kit. The foam wings were useless and we had to design our own. I need to get some pic's and post them.

Dave,
That really sucks. I fully understand why you are asking for these details here! Good luck.

John

BTW, please do post pics. I've been in love with the DH 88 since the first time I saw it. This is one of those models I wish were kitted for a reasonable price with equally reasonable quality.

I know what you mean about a reasonable price...here's a couple. I'm not sure on the quality of the Bod Dively kits as I have no experience with them. The ARD kit would be sweet!!

Bob Dively kits are supposed to be very nice. But, $429.99 for a 45-60 ssized twin with foam wings is a bit steep IMHO.

The ARD kits looks really nice, but I'm not paying a grand for any model

You are right John
Thats why I had to go with my plan. I paid 400 hundred for mine and shipping from england. And it has a 11' wingspan. The other if you look at the nacels they are not scale. Bob kits are great but to small for me.
