how do you take the propellor hub off?
I have a HPI RS4 with a .12 Nitro star which I am replacing with a Nova Rossi cx-12. Both engines are basically the same engine side by side.... My question is: How do you take the propeller hub off the Nova Rossi cx-12? I can't seem to get it off.. Comparing it to the other engine and the instructions, it looks like it should come right off?? I can't put it in my car until I can figure out a way to get it off I don't think? Thanks for the help!

RE: how do you take the propellor hub off?
You know I tried a pair of pliers and vise grips to pull and twist it off, but it won't budge. According to the instructions it looks like it should just pop off. The space between the hub and the engine shaft is so tight I don't know how I would get a gear puller or battery clamp behind it to pry it off. I can't even get the smallest jewelers screwdriver behind the hub to pry it off? Maybe I just need to put a little more muscle into it? lol
thanks,

If it's pressed on to a collet, try warming it up a little. A butane lighter, or a propane torch will work. Just warm it though, because you don't want to damage the seal on the F. bearing. Then a little gentle persuasion should pop it off...
