Leaving the plug loose will keep the engine from building up compression and causing your roto start to torque up and crack your oneway bearing. Also, only use short 2-3 second burst with the rotostart.

One way bearings are about 18 bucks each and sometimes hard to find at LHS's so you might want to take care of it.

bbentley40 is right. If you do decide to use the pull start wear a glove on the pull start hand so you won't get any blisters. It will take quite a few pulls till you get it started. I went with the rotostart method. I learned all about the oneway bearing cracking with the torque of the rotostart. Also the engine will flood really easy so be very aware of the fuel going in the engine. After your break in and and about 3-5 tanks of after break in it will be much easier for you to start and tune.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Yeah.. I broke my SS in with the pull start (after I used the rotostart and cracked a one way). One it was broke in I could crank it on 5-6 pulls so I put the roto back on. No complaints at all since then.

The new Sav's 25 only come with the roto start. But I just finished by break-in process and didn't have nay problem with breaking a one-way as long as you loosen the glow plug for the first couple of start (remember to tighten after starting!)
