RE: How old is everyone??
I get to be the old one here, thats a first
I am 22
I have been flying R/C since I was 11 or 12 (cant remember). I have been taking it seriously for the past 3 years and started flying 3D almost 2 years ago.
Right now I am only flying small glow powered 3D models. I have a 33% that should be ready in a few months so I can really key in on my precision 3D.

Wow yiu guys are youngsters,
I have daughters your age.
Im 35 and I have been flying RC for about 7 months steady, but have flown a little in years past, plus I have years of U Control Experience. My U Control plane of choice is the Flight Streak!!
I am learning fast and getting pretty decent at most of the 3D basics, but I havent quite figured out how to do a true hover or torque roll, but Im working on it.

It seems like with every post the age is increasing....So far I'm the oldest. I'm 39 Been flying about 8 months. I've been flying more than anyone in my club the entire summer and still flying today. I also practice alot on the simulator. My type of flying is anything that makes the plane tumble through the air and do crazy things. That's my type of flying (IMAC and 3d).

22 years
10 years
Many year instructor, V.P., Safety O., Field Marshall, and secretary at two different clubs (including one I helped start).
3D and IMAC stuffs mostly, I enjoy scale aerobatics as much if not more so than 3D. Sure rolling harriers and waterfalls are sweet, but I don't think it beats a perfect 1,1/4 snap roll on a 45 degree upline into a beautiful lomcevak (with smoke on *drool*) . But thats in my own opinion of course.
Oh and I'm helping a local company develop an amazing new scale aerobat that will blow everything else away (even Troy Built ).

RE: How old is everyone??
This will blow the average -
Am 57 and been flying RC off and on for 25+ years - started with U Control when I was a teenager in the '60s, first radio was a Kraft four channel in 1976, as I recall - cost me $250 bucks THEN (gotta be pushing $2000 in today's dollars...)
Like Warbirds, scale, gliders and flying just for the hell of it...
RC has really improved - still love to build, but also enjoy the speed of ARF!!
Excited about returning to RC again after a long layoff..

RE: How old is everyone??
26 and been flyin 11 years now, loved every minute of it and sill get excited every time on the way to the field. There was a period towards the end of this last summer where my brother and I flew every day for 6 weeks straight and got disappointed when fall was near because the days were growing short, just cant get sick of it
