Default Hybrid Savage

Does anyone know if this kit will work with Savage. Couldn't I use any Chassis that would allow me to bolt on the bulkheads.

Uh, Thanks

Thats a T-Maxx chassis??The T-Maxx use's a pan style chassis and the Savage uses Twin Verticle Plates (TVP) so no that wouldn't work on a Savage.

I think it looks cool and you can slam it real low, use a bump start, you can still set up the suspension for maximun clearance. It seems a lot easier to work on as well. It seems more versatile. Why get a Savage in the first place then? I got it because it was kit, and a gift, I had to buy the radio gear and everything else. I was always unsure about liking the TVP style. With this set up it looks as though you could switch back and forth rather easily. Truggies seem to be good all around off roaders.

Just buy a real truggy, with a real low center of gravity. The savage shocks offer NO advantage on a flat chassis. Your chassis will slam into the ground long before those shocks ever come close to bottoming out. All you have now is a truggy with a HIGH center of gravity. You've destroyed the good points that each of the trucks have to offer. Buy a GS truck, they are wicked fast on a track.

Why the heck buy a MT if you want a low vehicle? Basicly you are taking a superior chassis design (TVP) and downgrading to less effective, older, flat pan chassis.
