Volkswagen Beetle on TV AD.
Hi All!
I am completely new to RC toys and therefore am looking for your help.
I recently saw the new TV commercial for Volkswagen Phaeton where they display a little boy with a Remote controlled Beetle (It seems to be a classic VW Beetle model dated somewhere in 1960). I loved the little bugger so much that I am trying to find one to buy. Unfortunately, I cannot find anybody that knows where to find this car.
Does anybody have any idea where I can find it for sale?
Thanks a lot!

That was a prety Realistic looking car and is most likely custom made for the commercial... It is a VW Comercial and all.. I wouldn't be surprized if it was an exect replica that was used for production or something... It would be pretty sweet to find one though... Have you tried the VW Web site and asking them? Worth a shot... Good Luck...[:-]

99% sure that is the (now discontinued) tamiya 67 beetle kit in the commercial, no toy is that detailed and you can see the wheel nuts where the hubcaps would be on the real car...they go from $150-175 on ebay NIB...kit number 58173 as r/c dragon mentioned
i sold one of mine, the other is still in the box but will be built eventually (and needless to say is not for sale)

I've never seen that commercial but see people talking about it all over the place.
Can somebody find it and post it here so I can see it.
ALSO... Why is the word Ebay always semi-underlined when used on this site?

semi-underlined? i'm not seeing that...
i checked volkswagen.com and they have video of other commercials but not that one...it's nothing terribly exciting, just a little kid driving the rc vw around the big one...

The word eBay is semi underlined because RCUniverse is trying to jack evary mention of eBay over to their own auction site. Not a bad plan really if a little deceptive.
