Default ATTN: ROAR Rule Change - Turbo Plugs Now Allowed

Per ROAR Racing - and addendum has been made to the fuel class rules. As of 1/1/04 - all classes will now be allowed to run turbo crank and ported engines. Turbo plugs are now also allowed. The port limit still stands for the .12 class however, which is a maximum of 3 + 1.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad I haven't bought a new engine for my nitro sedan yet.

yeah - its a good thing, however - right now, most engines that are turbo still have more than 4 ports, which would make them illegal. what this means immediatly is that you can switch to a turbo button for glowplugs, but we are gonna have to wait on the manufacturers before we will have a 4 port turbo engine.

I never owned a turbo plug engine but my friends brother did and sucked at keeping an idle. Are all turbo plug engines hard to keep running and steady at idle? The guy also was a newbie so he didn't know much about tuning so that might be the cause.

although i dont know him, i would imagine that it was poor tuning, not the engine. Turbo engines are no harder to keep at idle than any other engine.

Racing season is still a few months away, so I'm hoping RB will have an offering by then.

RB almost does.

They just need to add this crank to get my business
