Has anyone heard about Thunger Tiger making a Pro 90? On the back cover of the new Model Airplane News it suggest the engine for there new plane the Rare Bear, but I cannot find it for sale any where. If anybody knows anything can you let me know. Thanks

I've wondered why Thunder Tiger hasn't converted their very heavy 61 to a 91. God knows it's got enough girth to handle the extra bore and given all the negative press in this forum about the OS 91 FX it seems like a natural opportunity to grab market share. Just my 2 cents worth on the topic.

It would be nice if TT did make a .91 from the ground up and not just punch out a .61 like OS did...although My .91 FX was (note...past tence) running very good...I installed a .61 SF carb and ran a macs tuned pipe and it ran really good but the vibration at idle is terrible...my Super Tiger is very smooth at idle with a similar set up. For the money the Super Tiger gets my vote...good strong dependable engine.
I have the TT .61 PRO and so far it is very smooth, power is good...seems to be one of those go fly have fun type of motors.

I agree with you guys, I have seen that they make 90 heli motor so I don't see why they can make one for airplanes. I am going to the Toledo show in april I will ask the question there. Maybe they will have one there for me to see. Thanks

Well, why don't we just get the 90 heli, get an airplane muffler, and put it on the airplane? It will still be cheaper than the OS 91 FX airplane version if you look in quantum models.

I may be wrong but I am almost sure the TT .91 heli engine comes without the prop drive washer...I know the OS hei motors are minus that part. Anything would be better than the .91FX...hell my Super Tiger .61 is pulling better vertical than the FX ever did.

I was wrong the TT.91 heli does come with a thrust washer.

Oh, I just got an ASP 91S for less than $110 from an auction site. It's same as Magnum 91 2-stroke, which is also very similar to the OS 91 FX, except w/o the problematic remote needle. Also, the ASP/Magnum is ABC.
