RE: Dalotel
TeamVertical,
I think that one was built by Dick Hanson (dick Hanson on RCU). He has built many Dalotels over the years, but he doesn't have a kit or sell plans for it. He builds his planes individually from a set of templates he has drawn on his building boards, and is not interested in putting out plans (I know because I have asked).
There are a few of these around, and they are great planes. You may be able to convince him to build one for you.

RE: Dalotel
Dick Hansen made those for us, back then , but I do not think he is doing much at this time other then flying for himself. I may be wrong tho. Anyway you can give him a try or DL designs they have a few of them.

Chip,
I have some old photos of your Dalotel from the early 80's. Did anyone kit this or have plans for it? I might like to build one.
Thanks
Dave

RE: Dalotel
Having been asked about his - I will add a couple of comments.
We don't do these kits anymore - and the "why" is simply that we are doing other stuff.
One of the other stuff is doing yet onother large Dalotel for our own amazement.
This one is 1800 squares with a ZDZNG100- best guess is 20 21 lbs.
We did a bunch of these in a slightly smaller format - 1500 squares powered by 60/80 engines .
and weighed 18-19 lbs
The later versions of the Dalotel are very scale - just 9% wing clip.
this seems to really work .
We are also writing for a new mag coming on the market very soon.
complete with pictures of saucy models with revealing colorschemes----
here is a pic of a 60 powered one in flight.
I won't butt in anymore .

Thanks... I got it!!!
I have decided I am gonna build one of these.......

First one will be all wood. to verify moments, sizes, etc. But ultimately I hope to just mold everything.
thanks!!!
