Default the wrong size blind nut

The problem with ARF's is that if the Mfg. installs the wrong nut it can be a real problem for us that don't have much of a clue ... I found this to be evident when Graupner installed an over sized nut ...
what to do remove the covering and switch out the nut ?. epoxy the connector in? Wrap the bolt with Teflon tape?.. well I found that Heat shrink tubing worked just fine in my case and allowed me to really tighten the strut connector down good and snug...

Hello nuts and bolts

Tall Paul is probably right. Most ARF's are built in China. METRIC fasteners !!!

If you only need one or two then I've found that Home Depot, Lowes, and Menards all carry a wide assortment of metric screws that may fit your needs. Even some ACE and Sears Hardware stores carry a lot of these.

Otherwise use RTL Fastners and get the metric assortment box.

What are you holding on with it? I would not recommend using heat shrink on the bolt to make it work. I would either get the right screw or replace the blind nut.

Most place this side of teh border use SAE becasue they ship to the USA!!

I beleive the US, and a few other countries are the only ones left, using Imperial measurements..

Go Metric, then you can dive at 100, or 120 with no penalty!!
