Default New engines from 3w

3w is coming out with some new engines, 1 cyl 28 i , 2 cyl 55 ccm boxer, 112 ccm 4 cyl boxer, 2 cyl 342 ccm 30 hp, 4 cyl 684 ccm 60 hp.

would love to hear the 112 ccm b4, should be a nice equal to the 106 b2.

Is that a 4 cylinder 112 cc engine?
Is it worth the extra weight?

No its the 684ccm engine.
As fore me,i don`t want to fight the extra weight in an huge model, the sound in a 4 cyl is similar to the r2 and i like it.
i am not into competition flying,so as long its looping, rolling and act scale i`m happy...thats me.

It all depends on your application. For instance.......I'm rebuilding a scale 46% Giles G-200. The thing is extremely tail heavy. Instead of tearing up the rear of the plane and having to resheet it all, I chose a 3w160B4 for the power plant. It'll make the same power as any 150cc out there, it'll have a unique sound, plus it's kinda cool. The extra weight was needed on the nose, so I figured why not. The plane is still looking to weigh in at 36lbs.........so it's a perfect choice. With a standard 150cc twin, balancing would have been a bear.

I'm interested in the 684. Where can I find more info on it? I didn't see it on 3W's website.

Thanks,
Eli

the 342 is real close to 4k the 4 cyl must be way more than that amount, based on a british weslake UAV engine.

Yeah, I'm sure it is more expensive. That's a given.

Where can I find the specs on it though? And what is the actual price?

Thanks,
Eli

But why are they placing the intake and carburetor on top of the engine? At least ZDZ has the intake below the crank case on their new 4 cylinder 420cc boxer. What about 3W's 5 cylinder Rotary engine, does anybody have one of those? That engine seemed like it would kick butt.
