3w is coming out with some new engines, 1 cyl 28 i , 2 cyl 55 ccm boxer, 112 ccm 4 cyl boxer, 2 cyl 342 ccm 30 hp, 4 cyl 684 ccm 60 hp.
would love to hear the 112 ccm b4, should be a nice equal to the 106 b2.

No its the 684ccm engine.
As fore me,i don`t want to fight the extra weight in an huge model, the sound in a 4 cyl is similar to the r2 and i like it.
i am not into competition flying,so as long its looping, rolling and act scale i`m happy...thats me.

RE: New engines from 3w
It all depends on your application. For instance.......I'm rebuilding a scale 46% Giles G-200. The thing is extremely tail heavy. Instead of tearing up the rear of the plane and having to resheet it all, I chose a 3w160B4 for the power plant. It'll make the same power as any 150cc out there, it'll have a unique sound, plus it's kinda cool. The extra weight was needed on the nose, so I figured why not. The plane is still looking to weigh in at 36lbs.........so it's a perfect choice. With a standard 150cc twin, balancing would have been a bear.

But why are they placing the intake and carburetor on top of the engine? At least ZDZ has the intake below the crank case on their new 4 cylinder 420cc boxer. What about 3W's 5 cylinder Rotary engine, does anybody have one of those? That engine seemed like it would kick butt.
