savage SS and reverse!
hi ho neighbours
ive just painfully fitted a reverse module in my SS (as my mates just bought a MGT and taughting me with his reverse) and had a thought?
does having the reverse module weaken the drivetrain?
does it make is any slower?
What are the pro's & Cons of reverse?
also fitted some KO helios aswell at the same time, but cant seem to make the reverse stay on if i let go of the 3rd channel button??
thanks in advance..
Andy..

RE: savage SS and reverse!
Hi! Cant answer about the strength question but advantage would be
A - You can back out of of any tight spots
B- It looks impressive, lol!
And the disadvantages
A - heavier then stock.
B- Makes the radio box an even tighter fit than it already is......
Shouldnt make it any slower as dont think any of the gear ratios change, although there may be a slight power loss due to the extra mechanics it would be minimal if any. With regards to the TX switch, check to see if there are any "modes" for the 3rd channels - many computer sets have diff options for example.
2p - Servo is either in one posistion or another, this is the setting you want.
3p - similar to above but one of three posistions
Proportinal - operates similar to either the steering or throttle channel in the sense that the servo posistion is not fixed.
There are a couple more but cant remember them, lol! Anyway hope this helps?

RE: savage SS and reverse!
I have the 25 RTR and the first thing I done was install reverse. I have run alongside a non-reverse Sav and it wasn't any slower at all, its all down to gearing and tuning.
It is great fun with reverse, I can almost pop reverse wheelies!!!!
can't help with the radio bit I use the stock radio (which works fine)
