Default help with clutch (i think)

i was running my truck just fine - i had recently installed a 4 shoe clutch without incident. today as i was running it, the engine tone changed, it got a little deeper and then stalled when i hit my brakes. when i tried to restart it (roto) it was as if the clutch was engaged - wheels turned while i tried to start it = no starting.
it will start if i pick it up so my guess is it's the clutch

anyone had this problem and what's the fix? thanks

Default RE: help with clutch (i think)

i have supermaxx 4 shoe clutch - i like it alot - i bought it at www.brucknerhobbies.com (but i live in new york so i went to the actual store)

i discovered my problem - the new clutch set came with it's own nut to fasten the flywheel down - problem was that this new nut was longer than the old one - so when i got the clutch assembled, the brass washer that goes on the very end was too thick - it was higher than the crank shaft - so when i tightened the screw in to the crank shaft, the brass washer got tightened to the clutch bell. when i tried to start it, the clutchbell spun with the motor...
