FINDING YOU MPH - WITHOUT A RADAR GUN
I have a old formula for finding your mph without a radar gun but, dont know if it's true!!! If Not please post the right one!!!
Here It Goes
MPH = DISTANCE COVERED(IN FEET) DIVIED BY TIME TAKEN(IN SECONDS) TIMES 0.68 = YOUR MPH[8D]
So i hope this is right.

RE: FINDING YOU MPH - WITHOUT A RADAR GUN
you could do that or:
speed=distance/time(distance over time or divided by time)
you want to convert the distance to miles and time to hours. lets use 50 meters in 5 seconds
50/5=10 multipy this(10) by 60 to get time to equal minutes(600), multiply this(600) by 60 again to get time to equal hours(36000) take that(36000) and divide it by 1600 since there are 1600 meters in a mile(22.5)
so: if you run 50 meters in 5 seconds then your car goes 22.5 metersph.
note:there are 5,280 feet in a mile. so if you did 50 feet in 5 seconds your car is very slow...6mph.

Dude.. Tamiya.. You sound like me.. Taking Calc based physics?
That sure was a fun class!
Yeah I agree.. take Speed = Distance/Time...
Your formula "DISTANCE COVERED(IN FEET) DIVIED BY TIME TAKEN(IN SECONDS) TIMES 0.68 = YOUR MPH " is actually a derivative of this formula.. Yes that will work too.
another thing you can do.. Count ALL the teeth/circumfrence of your tires and calculate the speed of your car that way..
This depends on your engine's speed of rotation but if you have a realistic top speed on your motor, you know where your gonna top off.. Theooretical.. but its good to know

Bone slasher, you got it right the first time.
60 MPH = 88 FPS.
60/88= 0.6818
Just like you said distance covered in feet divided by time to cover that distance in seconds times .6818 gives MPH.
60 MPH = 88 FPS.
60/88= 0.6818
Just like you said distance covered in feet divided by time to cover that distance in seconds times .6818 gives MPH.

woohoo!! i love math to a point and calculus is required for the line im taking but this is basic algebra back in the eighth grade.
