Monokote or ultrakote over Oracover?
Anyone tried to use mono or ultra over oracover? Wondering about using soap/windex to "set" some trim pieces and then sealing the edges down wehn they are dry. Worried about what temp to use etc.
Would appreciate any advice.

First, Ultracote and Oracover are the same animal. Exactly the same (Ultracote says "Oracover" on it's backing paper)
As far as putting one over the other, a lot depends on the size of the trim piece. MonoKote can use Trim Solvent to adhere (Or acetone), but this doesn't work with UC.
If it is a large piece, you will probably need to poke lots of holes in the underlying layer.

Here is a little T 6 club racer I am working on. The red and blue are Ultracote/Oracover the yellow is Monokote. Use the Windex method (forget the soap and water method) and a low temp. iron around 150 degrees and it works perfectly.

The woodpecker method also works well for eliminating the bubble problem. As MinnFlyer said, Oracover and Ultracote are the same animal, eh.
