RE: sway bar really worth it?
Do you mean the GPM ones??
They do work, yes, but not to the extent where they will STOP the truck flipping. They WILL help with handling as they stop 'body roll' a bit, but the ends pop off (typical GPM) and need to be changed. Personally I would wait for an upgraded version, so that they can sort out the bugs.

GPM [:'(][:'(][:'(] Poor quality make there stuff from cast not billet. Tried some of there parts and was very disappointed. I have a race Savage and the way I have it set does well and I am not running sway bars. If you are building a racer I think there are more important things then sway bars.

RE: sway bar really worth it?
Lowering the truck makes a big difference. At one time I ran off set wheels but this increases the turning radius but after making some changes I was able to do away with them. No the truck does not roll near as easy as it did when stock.

If you want your truck to handle good, go to red springs, 20 or 25wt shock oil, and get some decent rubber on it.
The swaybars will really kill rough-surface contact and the wheels will not move as independently as they do now.
ITBJHO, swaybars are useless on an MT. body roll helps keep the truck from flipping...if you stop that...there is nowhere for the truck to go except for RIGHT OVER
