L 19 bird dog 1/4 scale
Hi I just got a 9 foot wing span bird dog it had a mds 218 2 stroke .Will a g 38 pull it?Where can i find floats for it?And what size prop will the G 38 pull thanks ark ps look at my web site [link=http://www.webpages.charter.net/lokiarf]

If the plane was balanced and flown with the 218, you'll have to do some weight shifting to the rear. The 38 would be a good combo using an 18x10 thru 20x6/10 prop. I'm not sure of a good float source. Balsa USA offers floats for their 1/3 cub if that would be close to the 3/4 of your fuse length. Several articles have been written for using builders foam to scratch build a set along with the correct location of the step.

rreiss thanks I found a box of bird shot under the motor mount about 2 lbs the g 38 is 2 ozs bigger than the 218 so I think it will be alright just a little TLC
