Default Brison 3.2 Getting Harder to Start...

I bought a RTF plane with a Brison 3.2 and the engine has been great. Choke on, 9 flips, ignition on and two flips later it's running -- like clockwork. I've noticed the last couple of times I've been out it's been harder to start, but I dismissed it as it's was pretty cold. Today was 65F and the 3.2 was very hard to start. It sounded normal when running and flew normally, but it was very hard to start. Since I'm new to gassers I was wondering if this sounded familiar? Do I need a new plug? Should I adjust something?

TIA for your help.

I find that after a lot of running the engine may need adjustment.
I don't know if it is timing ring or what.
I would sent it in for a check up.
It is only $45 and they will do what is necessary to get it back running great.

Check the intake screen under the pump cover, the one with 1 screw. There is a small fine mesh screen there that may be covered with crap and cause the engine to not draw fuel as easily. Just remove the cover, & use a pin or sharp pick to remove screen. Clean it out and reinstall it. That should help.

I put a rebuild kit in the carb and installed a new plug after about three years of use and my Brison started and ran just like new. The carb diaphragms can get stiff and the needle valves worn. Plus a new plug always makes a two stroke happier. You can get the rebuild kits and plugs at stores that handle chainsaws.

My engine is 4 years old so maybe it is time for some attention... Thanks for all of the suggestions!

If you change the plug (very good idea) make sure you use a resistor version. They always have an "R" in the number somewhere. Most lawn care and and chain saw suppliers don't carry them as Rf noise is not an issue to their customers. CH Ignitions or Brison can help you out.

I had very much the same issues with an older BME44 and cleaned the screen, replaced the plug and ran a bunch of carb cleaner down the carb and removed the needles and shot it down there too. It ran like a different engine! I started over with the needles and in a few minutes it was kickin As$ again. I wished I had a diaphram to replace the old one as they are cheap but I don't know where to get them. I hope you get that brison up to snuff soon. There is someone at my field that has one and it is a very strong engine.

I have a Brison 2.4 that started acting the same way, I played with it for 2 years, even got so mad one day I kicked it and broke my big toe. I sent it to Brison and he gave me some mumbo jumbo about mixing my gas at 50:1 instead of 100:1. I got it back and it was no better. In desperation I sent the whole thing to C & H ignition. They said it had a weak coil and replaced the ignition system. They also told me that no one in their right mind should ever install a pick up with the clearance Brison has between the magnet & pick up and the weak coil aggravated it severely, they installed a pick up with 1/2 the clearance. After 3 years and countless $'s it finally runs like it should.

I had an intermittant ignition problem that C&H fixed. I too thought it was the engine, but had a spare ignition to test it with.
