Default Heli-Trader Site - Maybe?

I've been toying with the idea of adding a "Micro Heli Trader" section to my website (otherwise not heli related). This would a page where you can list used stuff you have for sell / trade or even stuff you're looking for.

I got the idea when I bought a G10 frame for my HB and realized that I've no need for the couple sets of stock landing skids and battery bracket set anymore. No doubt lots of us have lots of useable parts left over from various upgrades that are still servicable.

This would just cater to micro helis - no other R/C stuff to wade through. Categories would be the various models (HBird, Aerohawk, Piccolo, etc).

This post is just to get an idea of the interest level for such thing. I can see this project as being a bit labor intensive from an admin side, at least until I got it automated to some degree. I have the web storage space and a unlimited bandwidth allocation so resources are not a problem.

Would the effort be worthwhile? Would you use it?

I would use it, Would their be a fee to post? Sometimes you just have a few parts you want to unload and ebay is getting out of hand with their fees, then you have to pay for photo posting and then paypal fees, to post a couple of parts on ebay isn't worth it anymore , so i just hang on to them.

I hope to have this up and running this weekend (10/11 April 04).

Free to post? Yes, but you will have the opportunity to make a donation after buying/selling in order to help keep the site running. I hope to at least draw enough to pay for the web space it uses.

It's all manually operated now. You email me the info for whatever you want to buy, sell or trade and I add it to the existing list.
I do some programming as a side business so if the idea gets popular I'll automate things...

We'll let it run awhile and see how it goes.
