2 speed tranny
hey, i have a new savage, and its not going into second gear. i might be wrong, but like its only going about 20 mph top speed. will i for sure notice when it shifts? should i wait like 8-10 tanks before messing iwth the tranny? when i lean it after break in will it shift? thanks experts!

take your time with the break in , no full speed runs for now. it will all work itself out after you get broken in and lean the truck out some.

You can adjust it after the 5th tank. I had to turn mine 1/2 a turn counter clockwise and now when I run it with my Jumbo Kongs it pops wheelie's when it shifts into second. Just a note to you. The adjustment is exactly where it is shown in the diagram in your manual. What you can't see by the picture is that its at an angle.

with my savage it didnt start hitting 2nd gear until i had 10 tanks through it. also if u are running on the stock needle settings the mixture is to rich to hit 2nd gear becouse the revs arnt high enough. once youv had 10 tanks through it then start to lean out ur mixture then youll start to hit 2nd gear
