i dont have to worry about the roto start,my dad bought it for his ss and kept wrecking one way bearings so he took it off.ill jsut put that on mine.whats the price difference, theres almost $170 difference at my LHS.im leaning towards the 21 just because its cheaper and i could upgrade the engine later.i want to get more info though because once i buy it,thats it.i need to nkow that im getting what i want

get he ss from your pal and buy an mx 3 radio for a hundred bucks and a hitec hs645mg steering servo for 35 bucks. rock and roll for 335 dollars give or take a few. less than the 25 and you start off with a decent fm radio

i think they are reliable. i had mine for like 3 gallons till i switched and never had a problem. i think the engines are pretty easy to work on.

they are very reliable overall. save the extra money for the .25 if you can. the savage takes a little getting used to for working on but its nothing you cant get over. the thing to remember is, the parts of the truck that most people find a little harder to work on compared to parts of the tmaxx for instance are built that way to strengthen the savage overall. its a big part of what makes the savage the best 1/8 scale (or 10th) out there. i have owned all of the trucks out there with the exception of the revo, and the losi lst, and have nothing but my 3 savages in nitro now. nuff said.

iv just sold my rc10gt to buy a savage 21 i hav had the first gallon through it and i am very impressed with it. i am going to get use to it first before i upgrade the engine. i think that my engine is very reliable starts very time. i only had trouble with the self leaning problem but once i got that under control i had no probs

I just Whooped 4 Savage 25s with my stock 21 today..........
I am PURE stock sept the 625MG steering servo & locked front diff I kept passing them in the turns (Locked front Diff) & the 21 does about 300 more rpm than the 25. Hence better top end so if you just want a basher get the 21 Cuz its cheaper. On the other hand if you are looking to get into racing and want a very fast, Tuff & easy to maintain winning truck get the 21.....

I found some info last night that said 21 Top power at 30,000 MAX RPM??? & 25 Top Power at 28,000 MAX RPM 38,000.. I found the Info on the HPI Page & it doesn't it give the Max RPM on the 21?? We could all clearly hear My 21 reving much higher than thier 25s, I would say that they aren't tuned in very well but that can't be tha case fro 4 People all at once!!..

I do know that on the stright runs & was over taking them 3 had stock 25 gearing & the other had the same gearing as my 21

I will try to get some Footage of our next race & also get full Specs on all Our Trucks
And as for my confusing Comment About getting a 21 or a 21!!!! I was being a little Sarcastic.....

I think the 21 is a better deal eaither way cuz it is cheaper & as far as I know it is faster that 4 other 25s!!!!!!
