Hi all, does anybody know what is better. A long blade with a narrow width, or a fatter shorter blade. Im doing some serious cutting and need to know whats best.

Default RE: MAIN BLADE QUESTION

There is more to it than just the aspect ratio, but a wider blade helps at the low reynolds numbers we use in micro helis. You also need to take distribution of lift into account. With the FP helis, many blades are twisted like a propellor to provide even distribution of lift. If you cant twist the blade, tapering it from root to tip will help.
Following the stock pattern is a good place to start.
