Finally got around to finishing up the installation and building of my stinger 1.20 with a 25cc homey, and now time to add the kill switch. In one of those blissful not thinking moments, I just used one of the screws holding the primer bulb on the top of the carb, not realizing that the carb isn't actually grounded to the engine. (with the plastic adapter inbetween, which is what actually bolts to the block, and the carb bolted to that.)

anyway, long story short. I run the engine up to full throttle and grab hold of the high speed needle. I had assumed the switch was in the right position since the engine started. see where this is going? [8D] yup, the carb was 'live'. it is amazing how much even a small magneto can generate when the shaft is spinning at 9k!!

is it christmas? there's a TURKEY about. good job it didn't arc across anywhere near that small volume of neat gas....
