what ARF for my Saito FA-300T twin?
I am about to aquire a Saito FA-300T twin four stroke engine. Its displacement is 50cc, with 4.7HP, weighs 4 pounds, and will swing an 18-22 inch prop. I am looking around at ARF planes to put this into.
My question is, what size ARF do I look for. Typically, the ARF specs call for a range of 2 stroke, 4 stroke, or gas engines. Where does this engine fall into along these categories?
Should I look for a plane that calls for a 3.0 four stroke or is that not the same since this engine is a twin. Ideally I would like to put it into a ARF mustang or maybe even a super cub. I am just worried that this engine is way too big for something like the hanger 9 super cub or the hanger 9 mustang 1.5.
Maybe I should be looking for a plane that calls for a 30-60cc gas???
Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

I LOVE THE SOUND OF THOSE 4 STROKE TWINS. If you put is on the Mustang you will have cylinder heads hanging out the sides of the fuse (very ugly)-In fact Saito built the inline twin for these type applications. It is a bit much for the 1/4 Cub although it would work it would be way overpowered. The OS 160 twin would be the match for that. In fact a 300 4 stroke is a bit of a performance engine-- I had a 1/3 Cub with the Saito 270-- it was scale flight-- but still a big plane. A performance plane I think is better suited for this plane such as GP CE, Pitts or the Wagstaff Extra-- WH Edge or Extra. IOW-- anything in the 80-90 inch wingspan and 15-20 lbs. Come to think of it-- that Kanage Waco would be a good match and the cowl would be about right also.

I did some more looking around and think I might get that Kangke Waco actually. It looks like a really nice plane. I am extremely pleased with my Kangke Monocoupe. I was also looking at the patty Wagstaff too.
