DA 150 Prop?
Is the Menz 32x12 too much prop for a broken in DA 150 or would th e32x10 be better suited?
The engine will be on a Carden 40% Extra and flown IMAC style mostly.
Thanks for any help.

RE: DA 150 Prop?
It would be fine for IMAC. For 3D, it would load the engine too much and probably not give you enough prop wash on the tail to control it that well. Not to mention the slower throttle response. But go for it and let us know how you like it.

RE: DA 150 Prop?
I asked the fine folks at DA that same question a few weeks back, and they recommended a Mezjlik 30x12. Not a typo, yes a THIRTY x Twelve. I was skeptical, but I figured they manufacture the engine so I tried it. The thrust on the uplines was significantly better than with a 32x10, and the spool up markedly faster making it a good all around 3D/Parttern prop. Yes, you have to be careful not to rip it in the horizontal, but I was ripping the 32 almost as easily so there's not a whole lot of difference in that respect.

RE: DA 150 Prop?
I've got to agree with Desertrat. I started out with a Mezjlik 32x10 then switched to a 30x12 when the summer heat hit here in Phoenix. Much better all round prop. If you have a really light airplane, say 35-36lbs and fly close to sea level in a cooler environment, then the bigger prop will probably work ok.
